WHAT IS STATE-FUNDED HOUSING ?
State housing was built with and is partially maintained by funds received from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Needham Housing Authority follows the rules and regulations established by the State Legislature and the Department of Housing and Community Development. WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR SUBSIDIZED HOUSING ?
Families and anyone who is elderly and or disabled and meets the income requirements, may apply for NHA Federal Housing programs. State-funded and federally funded housing program rental assignments are based on waitlists.

Currently we are, however, accepting applications for our 1 bedroom State Elderly and our Disabled waitlist.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL HOUSING ?
For the Federal housing program families or anyone who is 62 and elderly/disabled, meets the income requirements may apply.

HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHERS
The Needham Housing Authority has 108 Housing Choice Vouchers(HCV). HCVs allow a person or family to rent a privately-owned unit. The way the HCV works is our housing authority receive funds from HUD to pay part of the tenants rent to the landlord and the tenant pays the remaining balance.
